The Council of Ministers Secretariat General has announced that government employees will begin partially returning to their workplaces starting Monday, March 9, 2026, as authorities continue implementing remote work arrangements across the public sector.
In a statement, the council said the remote work system will continue to be implemented for no more than 70% of the total number of employees in each entity, with priority given to mothers and persons with disabilities, provided that this does not affect work requirements. The remaining 30% of employees will report to their workplaces starting Monday, March 9, 2026, until further notice.
The decision applies to all ministries, other government entities, public bodies and institutions in the country.
According to the statement, the measure comes with reference to the earlier announcement issued on March 2, 2026, which had implemented remote work for government employees across ministries and public institutions.
The Secretariat General also clarified that the decision excludes employees in the military and security sectors, the health sector, as well as employees in entities and administrative units whose work requires their presence at the workplace.
