The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has announced that social events, including weddings and funeral gatherings, may now be held in outdoor spaces starting Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
In a statement, the ministry said the decision was taken “in the interest of public safety and based on the continuous assessment of the situation by the competent authorities.” The move allows social gatherings to resume outdoors while maintaining safety measures across the State of Qatar.
The ministry stressed the need for organizers to follow approved instructions and organizational procedures and to coordinate with the relevant authorities to ensure the safety of attendees and the smooth conduct of events. It also emphasized the importance of complying with security and safety regulations and urged the public to avoid any practices that could endanger individuals or the wider community.
The MOI said it appreciates the public’s cooperation, noting that adherence to the measures reflects community awareness and contributes to enhancing public safety and maintaining the security and stability of society.
