JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha proudly launched the first edition of its signature JW Garden Party, marking the arrival of the summer solstice with an intimate and thoughtfully curated experience. Hosted on the longest day of the year, the celebration paid homage to light, renewal, and intentional living through a vibrant blend of nature, design, and culinary artistry.
The Garden Party embodied JW Marriott’s holistic approach to well-being, inviting guests to reconnect with the rhythms of the season in a serene, elevated setting. This inaugural edition laid the foundation for a new tradition — where community, mindfulness, and luxury meet in harmony with nature.
The evening unfolded in AMARU, the hotel’s Amazonia-inspired venue, whose vibrant interiors, lush textures, and earthy palette offered the perfect setting for the occasion. Echoing the wild beauty and spirit of Latin America, AMARU immersed guests in an atmosphere of organic elegance and sensuality, deepening the connection to nature that defined the evening’s theme.
A highlight of the evening was a bespoke menu crafted by Executive Chef, Mohammad Atieh, with every dish infused with herbs and botanicals harvested directly from the JW Garden. These fresh, seasonal ingredients formed the heart of the culinary journey, offering guests a grounded, flavorful connection to place and time.
Sustainable and meaningful details added further depth to the experience. Guests were welcomed with seed paper menus and wish cards, designed to encourage reflection and growth. In a symbolic closing moment, they were invited to write a personal wish, take it home, plant it, and watch something beautiful grow.
To complete the setting, the hotel collaborated with BLUMEN Floral Art & Design, a local creative brand whose concept celebrates art through nature. Known for their poetic, nature-inspired installations, BLUMEN designed a striking Amazonian-inspired floral display for the occasion. Featuring exotic tropical blooms and vibrant citrus fruits, the installation represented the Latin American soul of AMARU and captured the warmth, vitality, and energy of the season — transforming the space into a lush, immersive sanctuary.
From garden-to-table dining to immersive botanical design, the Summer Solstice Garden Party was a celebration of presence, beauty, and the joy of meaningful connection — setting the tone for future editions of JW Garden Party.
As the sun lingered over the Doha skyline, so too did a sense of renewal and gratitude shared by all in attendance.
