The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs’ crescent moon sighting committee announced that Thursday, March 19, will be the 30th and final day of the holy month of Ramadan, with Eid Al Fitr starting Friday.
This came in the Committee’s statement after its meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters on Wednesday evening, which corresponds to Ramadan 29, 1447 H.
The statement added that the crescent moon of the new month of Shawwal was not sighted this evening, which means that the first day of the blessed Eid Al Fitr in the State of Qatar will be Friday, March 20, 2026.
The Committee extended its greetings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, along with Qatar’s government, the Qatari people, and Muslims everywhere, on the advent of Eid Al Fitr.
