The Ministry of Interior has underscored the importance of remaining indoors as a key precautionary measure under exceptional circumstances, stressing that limiting movement is essential to enhance public safety and minimise potential risks.

The ministry stated that adhering to these guidelines enables the competent authorities to perform their duties efficiently and helps ensure the security and safety of all.

According to the advisory, recommended safe areas within buildings include:

  • Rooms inside the house away from windows and external façades.
  • Corridors inside the building.
  • The basement, if available, as it offers greater protection.
  • Areas surrounded by solid walls and away from objects that may pose a risk.

The ministry further urged the public to remain inside homes or buildings and avoid leaving except in cases of absolute necessity, avoid staying in open or exposed areas without valid reason, and remain in safe interior areas away from windows and glass façades.

Residents were also advised to refrain from heading to incident sites or areas where security vehicles and equipment are deployed, and to comply with instructions issued by the competent authorities while following updates through official channels.

The ministry reiterated that remaining indoors and limiting movement to cases of absolute necessity is a fundamental precautionary measure that strengthens public safety and contributes to the protection of lives and property.
