The Ministry of Interior has announced the extension of all categories of entry visas that have expired or are set to expire for a period of one month, effective Saturday, February 28, 2026. The extension may be prolonged further in line with ongoing developments.

The ministry confirmed that the process will be carried out automatically through its approved electronic systems. Visa holders will be exempt from any fees and will not be required to visit relevant departments or submit additional applications.

For individuals whose entry visas incurred violations prior to February 28, 2026, the prescribed reconciliation fine for the period of overstay must first be settled. Following payment, the one-month extension and fee exemption will apply effective from the same date.

The MOI affirmed that it will continue to monitor developments and take necessary measures in a timely manner to ensure the legal stability of residents and visitors.

It also urged the public to remain indoors, limit movement to cases of absolute necessity, avoid windows and exposed areas, and comply with official instructions issued by the competent authorities to safeguard public safety. The public is advised to follow the ministry’s official accounts for further updates.
