Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has announced that Doha Corniche will be closed to traffic from 11 PM on Thursday until 2 PM on Friday, February 16, 2024.
The closure was announced on the occasion of Ooredoo’s annual Doha Marathon that will take place at Hotel Park beside Sheraton Hotel.
While MOI has advised residents to use alternative routes and to follow directional signs, event organizers have urged the marathon participants to arrive well in advance.

The race will begin and end at Hotel Park, providing a scenic route along the picturesque Doha Corniche—offering a more enjoyable, safer, and upgraded experience for both runners and spectators.
