Qatar Museums (QM) is delighted to announce an engaging array of workshops, camps, and exhibitions designed to offer enriching indoor experiences for both children and adults throughout the month of August.
M7, in collaboration with Liwan, is excited to present a dynamic 5-day summer camp centered on the theme of character development and storytelling.
- Kids Summer Camp at M7 & Liwan
21 to 27 August 2024 | 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM
This 5-day summer camp will focus on the theme of character development and storytelling. Participants will utilise different hands-on creative practices to bring their imagined characters to life. At the end of the camp, children will have the opportunity to talk about their creations and showcase their works to their families. Register here.
The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) will host storytelling sessions, various art workshops for children and adults, and a Family Day activity.

Join us for a monthly Family Day, taking place at MIA Atrium. For August’s Family Day, join us to learn more about science. Free to attend, no registration required.
- Workshop: Creative work by Arabic Calligraphy
18 August 2024 | 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Explore the beauty of calligraphy by making your fine art piece. You can choose a text from the Museum collections and write it on glossy ornament paper. The workshop will provide the required materials.

Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art will host a series of workshops designed to nurture and inspire your creative side.
- Workshop: Mixed Media with Fabric (For ages 15 and above)

This workshop is designed to ignite your imagination and empower you to create stunning artwork rich in texture and depth. You will experiment with various materials, including paints, papers, and found objects, to create dynamic compositions.

- Cartooning for Critical Thinkers

Join us in this dynamic workshop led by renowned satirical cartoonist Khalid Albaih. Participants will embark on an immersive journey into the realm of political cartooning.

Qatar Museums’ Archeology & Heritage department will host summer camps titled Artefacts Workshop for children and adults. The programs will be held at Liwan.

What happens to objects discovered after a dig? Help archaeologists sort pottery according to its shape, size, material, color and wear patterns and discover what the objects are used for! The workshop is free, but slots are limited. Please bring a filled, reusable water bottle.

Learn about different types of artifacts and eco facts, and help archaeologists sort pottery according to their typology. You will learn how to draw and interpret pottery from archaeological excavations in Qatar, and how this knowledge is used to learn more about people lived in this country.
