Creative Nest, A dynamic Qatari platform, celebrating art and merchandise, is excited to announce an open call for local and resident artists to participate in its exclusive Merchandise Program. The program seeks to showcase the work of talented artists by transforming their designs into limited-edition, high-quality merchandise. By bridging creative talent with the retail world, Creative Nest fosters an ecosystem where artistic expression meets commercial success.
Creative Nest is currently seeking 10 exceptional artworks for its ” 2025 Mug Collection,” scheduled for launch in 2025. This is a unique opportunity for artists to gain exposure and commercial recognition for their creative talents. Starting May 1st, The Creative Nest invites Qatar-based artists to submit original visual artwork.
Eligibility: The open call is open to visual artists residing in Qatar, aged 16 and older.
Submission Guidelines: Artists are invited to submit their artwork in the following formats:
- Digital Format: High-resolution images (300 DPI) in JPEG or PNG format.
- Physical Submission: Accepted at Blue Salon Head Office.
- Multiple Entries: Artists are permitted to submit 3 entries only; however, each
submission must be clearly marked with unique title and assigned a distinct code.
In addition to their artwork, artists should provide the following information:
- Name / Qatar ID # / Email / Mobile number
- Brief artist statement (250 words or less)
Selection Criteria:
The submitted artworks will be evaluated based on the following criteria: - Originality: Unique and innovative artistic style.
- Quality: High-quality artwork with attention to detail.
- Commercial Viability: Potential for adaptation into merchandise products.
A committee will select the top 10 artworks, and the winners will be announced on social media
platforms.
Proposed Themes:
Artists are encouraged to submit artwork that aligns with one or more of the following themes:
Celebrating Qatari Heritage, Modern Arabia, Art & Culture, Nature Inspired,
Inspirational Qatar.
