Al Wakra Family Beach
This is a famous beach in the southern city of Qatar, Al Wakrah. The Al Wakrah Family Beach is a gated beach with free access for all. Parking is also available inside the beach.
Amenities: Bathrooms, huts, multiple shaded Children’s play areas, snack & tea points, a mosque
Location: Al Wakrah Municipality Family Beach 21 km from Doha.
General Instructions:
- No pets allowed
- No smoking of any type permitted (Shisha, etc)
- Boats and jet skis are not allowed near the beach
- Appropriate dress code to be followed
- Overnight stays are not allowed
- BBQ allowed with facilities provided
Beware of littering.
Sealine Beach, Mesaieed
Sealine Beach is right before the well-known public beach, Mesaieed Beach (Sand Dunes Beach). Sealine Beach is a great amenity for families and groups of friends to enjoy a well-maintained beach supported by several amenities.
Just on the opposite side of the beach, there are activities like camel riding, safari tours, and dune bashing.
Amenities: Toilets, huts, kid’s play area, BBQ stations & a parking area.
Location: Sealine Beach, Mesaieed. 57 km drive from Doha in Mesaieed. Easy to reach by sedan cars also.

Souq Al Wakrah Beach
The old Souq al Wakrah wins with its long stretch of pristine sandy beach. The Souq Al Wakrah beach stretches approximately 3 km and is a family favorite beach where everyone can swim.
Amenities: children’s playground, toilets, beach chairs with huts.

Simaisma Beach
Simaisma Beach has two parts, one part is the free beach and the other one is the ticketed beach discussed in the ticketed beaches article. Simaisma Beach is a public beach but is family-friendly due to a children’s area, a mosque, and washrooms. This is the free beach before the Simaisma fishing port.
The beach is very suitable for picnics and not for swimming due to the low tide. The beach is accessible till late at night. The beach also has huts under which people can set themselves but no chairs are available.
Location: Simaisma Beach, 41 km drive from Doha.
General Instructions:
- No overnight stays allowed
- BBQ is allowed
- Easy to reach by Sedan cars also
Al Thakira Beach
This is a family-friendly beach and a park fused into it. The beach also has a walking path and is dotted with benches.
Amenities: Kid’s play area, walking & cycling path, green park, beach benches with huts and parking available
Location: Al Thakira Beach 61 km drive from Doha in Al Khor. Easy to reach by Sedan cars also.

Al Ferkiah Beach
A drive towards the north of Qatar in the city of Al Khor, Al Ferkiah Family Beach is a well-maintained beach supported by children’s playgrounds, mangrove views, and basic amenities.
Amenities: Kid’s play area, toilets, beach chairs with huts & parking is available
Location: Al Ferkiah Beach 55 km from Doha in Al Khor city. Easy to reach by sedan cars also
