CHI AL SHAQAB to showcase record number of horses and riders in Qatar starting tomorrow

The 11th Edition of CHI AL SHAQAB Presented by Longines will gallop into Doha with a thrilling display of skill, precision, and elegance from February 22 to 24, 2024.

Starting tomorrow, a record number of top-tier horses and riders from over 20 countries will gather to compete in a captivating event that promises excitement, entertainment, and exclusive shopping experiences.

During the three-day event, 189 riders from 37 nations will demonstrate their expertise in Olympic equestrian events such as showjumping, dressage, and para-dressage. Among them are 50 participants from Qatar, who will partner with over 70 horses in this prestigious competition boasting a prize fund of €1.2m.

CHI Al Shaqab stands as the flagship event of Al Shaqab and represents one of the five CHI (Concours Hippique International) competitions globally. It holds the distinction of being the sole event of its caliber in the Middle East and Asia. The CHI designation, bestowed by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), is reserved for international competitions featuring three or more equestrian disciplines.

Since its inception in 2013, the esteemed competition has welcomed elite riders and top-tier horses from around the world. This year’s equestrian spectacle at the cutting-edge Al Shaqab facility is poised to see unprecedented participation.
