As the much-anticipated Garangao festival draws near, Doha is buzzing with anticipation. This beloved tradition, celebrated on the 14th night of Ramadan, brings joy to children across Qatar as they wear traditional attire and go door-to-door singing songs and collecting sweets. This year the celebrations of Garangao in Qatar will happen on 23 and 24 March 2024.

Souq Garangao at Darb Al Saai
The Garangao Market will include 80 shops that sell a wide range of Garangao essentials, food and cornucopia-inspired gifts and merchandise, alongside several children’s education workshops.

Lusail Boulevard
Garangao celebrations at Lusail Boulevard will feature kids’ activities, entertainment, and gifts! In addition to the vibrant car parades and the Ramadan Cannon, there are immersive family activities and authentic handicrafts, creating a truly special atmosphere. Other Ramadan festivities include the Car parade and Ramadan Canon which will take place before iftar.
