Motorsport enthusiasts gathered at Barahat in the heart of Msheireb on Thursday, February 22nd, as Lusail International Circuit hosted an exciting pre-launch event to celebrate the upcoming Lusail Speed Fest.
The state-of-the-art circuit is set to host the Qatar Airways Qatar 1812 KM – FIA World Endurance Championship 2024 and the 2024 MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar over back-to-back weekends starting from February 29th.
The recent event at Msheireb showcased interactive experiences, kid-friendly activities, cutting-edge simulators, and a variety of engaging attractions. A distinguished panel of speakers, featuring Porsche Penske’s accomplished Matt Campbell and inspiring female drivers from the Iron Dames, led insightful discussions on the evolving landscape of motorsport, particularly highlighting the increased awareness and participation of women and girls in the World Endurance Championship.
This event not only entertained attendees with thrilling attractions but also facilitated meaningful conversations at the intersection of innovation, diversity, and motorsport excellence.
All drivers expressed their excitement about kicking off the season in Doha at the iconic Lusail International Circuit. Sarah Bovy, one of the Iron Dames drivers, shared her enthusiasm for being in Qatar for the first time and experiencing Doha.
Amro Al-Hamad, Executive Director of Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and CEO of LIC, emphasized that Lusail Speed Fest promises an extraordinary experience, celebrating speed and excitement over two consecutive weekends.
Lusail Speed Fest Tickets
Tickets for the Lusail Speed Fest, including access to both the Qatar Airways Qatar 1812 KM – FIA World Endurance Championship 2024 (February 29th to March 2nd) and the 2024 MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar (March 8th to 10th), are priced at just QAR 200 and are currently available for purchase.
They can be acquired as three-day packages, with spectators receiving three tickets for each event day.
