A new cake shop in Doha by French pastry chef Marc Razurel, bringing a refined vision of modern pâtisserie to The Ned Doha

The Ned Doha introduces Millie’s Cake Shop, a new luxury cake shop and patisserie in Doha, located along the Corniche, set to bring a refined expression of modern desserts to the city.

Led by Executive Pastry Chef Marc Razurel, a French pastry chef, the concept reflects a contemporary approach to pâtisserie, where precision, creativity, and storytelling come together in every creation. 

For Chef Marc, the story of Millie’s Cake Shop begins long before the kitchen, shaped by childhood memories and a deep-rooted appreciation for food. Growing up surrounded by family meals, he developed an early connection to flavour, presentation, and the ritual of gathering around the table. 

“My grandmother, mother, and grandfather all inspired me with their love for well-prepared, flavourful food,” he shares. “I was always in the kitchen, helping prepare and plate dishes. I still remember my grandmother’s apple tart, it remains the best I have ever tasted.” 

This sense of memory and emotion continues to influence his work today. 

Rooted in French pastry heritage and reimagined through a modern lens, the menu is designed to balance flavour, texture, and visual elegance, where each cake is crafted as a complete sensory experience. 

“Each creation at Millie’s Cake Shop is designed as a balance between precision and emotion,” says Chef Marc Razurel. “I wanted every cake to feel refined, yet effortless, something that is visually striking, but also deeply satisfying in flavour.” 

At the heart of the concept lies a curated cake display, featuring both individual cakes and larger creations designed for sharing and celebration. From delicate citrus notes to rich chocolate compositions, the collection reflects a harmony between tradition and innovation. 

Millie’s Cake Shop also introduces an elevated French bakery offering, featuring a refined selection of freshly baked viennoiseries. From classic butter croissants and pain au chocolat to almond, pistachio, and gianduja creations, each piece is crafted with the same attention to detail, precision, and flavour balance that defines the cake shop — bringing a new expression of French bakery to Doha. 

Designed to reflect the signature character of The Ned Doha, Millie’s Cake Shop offers an elegant and inviting setting where guests can discover a refined patisserie in Doha in its most elevated form. 

Millie’s Cake Shop will officially open on April 26, 2026, at The Ned Doha.
