Qetaifan Projects, the master developer of Qetaifan Island North and a wholly owned subsidiary of Katara Hospitality, participated in Shanghai’s luxury property show 2024 exhibition as part of the Qatari pavilion for real estate companies in coordination with Real Estate Regulatory Authority – Aqarat and investment promotion agency Qatar (Invest Qatar).
The Qatari pavilion attracted notable attention from exhibition visitors eager to learn more about the Qetaifan Island North project. Many international developers praised the island’s advanced infrastructure and the exceptional investment opportunities it offers, combining modernity and innovation.
On this occasion, Mr. Khalid Al Jassim, Senior Business Development Officer at Qetaifan Projects, said: “Our participation in the LPS International Exhibition highlights our commitment to positioning Qetaifan Island North as a global destination that combines entertainment, luxury, and innovation. This participation reflects the growing confidence in our projects and our vision of offering a unique model for living and leisure in Qatar.”
One of the exhibition’s highlights was Meryal Waterpark, which stands out as a major attraction on Qetaifan Island North. Spanning an area of 281,000 square meters, the waterpark features 36 diverse water attractions, and in the heart lies the RIG 1938.
The Rig 1938 is a symbol of innovation and creativity, having earned two Guinness World Records as the tallest water slide in the world, standing at 76.309 meters. Additionally, it is the first of its kind to feature 12 water slides in one tower.
The tower’s design draws inspiration from Qatar’s history of oil and gas discovery. It is situated on a separate island connected to Meryal Waterpark via a vintage train, enhancing visitors’ sense of adventure.
