Following the opening of its online configurator in Qatar last December and of a Pop-Up Store early this year, Tesla is announcing today two important milestones.
The opening of the first permanent Tesla Store and the opening of the first Tesla Supercharger in Qatar, marking a significant acceleration in the country’s transition to sustainable energy.
The first Tesla Store in Qatar
Located in Doha Festival City on the ground floor Luxury Court, this new Tesla Store will give the opportunity to Qataris to discover Tesla’s lineup and chat with knowledgeable product experts.
Open 7 days a week from 10am to 10pm, this permanent location is also offering test-drives of Model S, Model 3, Model X and Model Y, to learn more about breathtaking performance, cutting edge technology and convenient charging solutions with a real-world driving experience.
The first Supercharger in Qatar
Just outside the new Tesla Store, the first Qatari Supercharger is strategically located in Doha Festival City, West Court 2 Entrance, ensuring easy access to a wide range of drivers in a popular location full of amenities for owners to recharge themselves with food, drinks, or shopping.
Offering Tesla’s Supercharger technology capable of up to 250 kW of power, the 12 stalls available on site enable owners to add up to 322 km of range in 15 mins. With 58,000 Superchargers, Tesla owns and operates the largest global fast charging network in the world.
Superchargers are a major part of the Tesla ecosystem, allowing Tesla owners to cover long distance drives, in total peace of mind. The global Supercharger network had 99.97% uptime and was 100% renewable in 2023, achieved through a combination of onsite resources and annual renewable matching.
To use a Supercharger, Tesla owners simply need to plug in their vehicle to start charging. With the Tesla app, they can view Supercharger stall availability, monitor current charging status whilst away, or get notified when charge has finished or reached enough battery level to continue their journey to their destination.
Between the Supercharger network, convenient home charging solutions including the Tesla Wall Connector and the fast expansion of public and private charging networks, consumers from Qatar now have access to ubiquitous charging infrastructure enabling convenient daily and on-the-go charging experiences.
Tesla will continue to invest in Qatar, to grow its local infrastructure. The first Service Center in the country is already planned to open during the third quarter of 2024. More Superchargers will open to Tesla owners in the future.
