MOCI: 138 National Food Factories Operating at High Efficiency to Secure Local Supply

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has affirmed that 138 national food manufacturing factories are operating at high efficiency and full capacity to ensure the needs of the local market are consistently met.

In an advisory, the ministry stated that food and water production facilities remain fully operational and at a high level of readiness. A sufficient strategic stockpile of essential products is available and abundant to meet regular market demand.

According to the ministry, commercial outlets across the country continue to be supplied smoothly and without interruption. Inspection campaigns are ongoing, with direct coordination maintained between authorities, factories, and suppliers to ensure stability in the supply chain.

The national industrial sector includes factories across a wide range of food categories, including water production; dairy products; meat and fish processing; bakery and pasta production; grain packaging and milling; sugar packaging; biscuit and confectionery manufacturing; vegetable processing; juice, spice, and sauce production; date processing; edible oil manufacturing; coffee and nut processing; as well as food industries and ready-made meals.

The ministry underscored that these facilities are “Built Locally. Sustained Nationally,” highlighting the strength and resilience of the country’s domestic food production capabilities.
