Ramadan holds profound significance as Muslims in Qatar observe the holy month with fasting, prayers, and acts of charity. As the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Ramadan is when Muslims abstain from food and drink from sunrise to sunset. In Qatar, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) and Qatar Calendar House, announce the start and end dates of Ramadan based on the sighting of the crescent moon, a practice that marks the beginning of a period filled with spiritual growth and communal bonding.

Suhoor, the pre-dawn meal (before Fajr prayer), sustains individuals throughout the day of fasting, while Iftar is the breaking of the fast at sunset (Maghrib prayer). The last 10 days of Ramadan 2025 in Qatar

The last 10 days of Ramadan are a significant time for Muslims worldwide and in Qatar. Mosques are busier: Mosques are filled with worshippers during these nights, creating a strong sense of community and shared devotion. People observe Qiyam Ul Lail ( Night Prayer) in the mosques and stay there until Fajr. 

The last night of Ramadan is the busiest where the public is seen shopping in malls or Souqs in Qatar. The salons are busy as ladies book slots for Henna for Eid Al Fitr.
